Project Scope
MCA Engineering was engaged to deliver the full civil works package for the new Refrigeration Plant (FRP) at Ernest Henry Mine, Queensland. The project forms a critical part of the site’s underground cooling expansion, designed to support deeper mining operations by improving airflow and temperature control.
MCA’s scope encompassed all major foundations required for the refrigeration facility, delivered through four Separable Portions. The works were executed under strict mine safety protocols, with detailed planning to ensure zero operational disruption and seamless integration with mechanical, electrical and processing contractors.
