MCA Engineering was engaged by Evolution Mining to deliver the Paste Plant Precinct Services Island project at the Cowal operation in West Wyalong, NSW. The scope spanned design, manufacture, delivery, construction and commissioning, along with associated management systems, reflecting MCA’s ability to manage a multi-disciplinary paste plant scope from concept through to completion.
Evolution Mining needed a services island precinct developed to support paste plant operations, requiring coordinated civil, structural, mechanical, dewatering, storage and piping works alongside specialised fabrication. Delivering the design, supply, installation and commissioning as one integrated package, with dedicated management systems, called for a contractor capable of handling every discipline under a single scope.
MCA managed the Paste Plant Precinct design and delivered supply and installation across civil, structural, mechanical, dewatering, storage tank and piping works. The team also completed dedicated fabrication works, including pipe stands, island access handrails, the main platform walkway and a compressor shelter, coordinating each discipline under one project management structure for Evolution Mining.
MCA delivered a fully constructed and commissioned Paste Plant Precinct Services Island, combining civil, mechanical and fabrication scopes into a single, coordinated outcome. Evolution Mining received a functioning services island supporting paste plant operations at Cowal, completed with design, construction and commissioning management handled entirely by MCA’s project team.
