We have significant experience in underground work and are leaders in mine shaft engineering and maintenance. Our equipment and heavy machinery specialists have practicable industry knowledge and are supported by in-house manufacturing, fabrication, and machining facilities.

Paul Barwick
Director
Paul Barwick has over 30 years’ experience in providing complex solutions to the engineering and construction industry. Paul Co-founded MCA in 2004 with a ‘people first’ approach, which has played a vital role in the development of MCA Engineering throughout the last 16 years. Paul has experience in many areas including marine construction, underground infrastructure, design, manufacture and installation of man riding winders and conveyances.
Andrew Pascoe
Director
Andrew Pascoe has over 30 years’ experience in providing complex solutions to the engineering and construction industry. Co-founding MCA Engineering in 2004, Andrew’s areas of expertise include design, fabrication, consultation, construction, and installation. During the growth of MCA, he has played a vital role attaining work, identifying opportunities, hiring key personnel, and executing major projects safely and on schedule.
Toby Oliver
General Manager
Toby Oliver is MCA Engineering’s General Manager and comes with over 20 years’ experience in the mining industry, 10 of these years being in high level management roles with MCA. Toby has been a part of the MCA team since 2008. Since joining MCA, he has shown exemplary People and Project Management skills and the oversite of all MCA day to day operations.
Scott Hendry
Operations Manager
Scott Hendry has progressed to be MCA Engineering’s Operations Manager with 20 years’ experience in the mining industry. Scott commenced employment with MCA Engineering in 2006 as a carpenter/concreter. Through promotion, he worked across Australia in the roles of Civil Supervisor, Shutdown Supervisor and Project Manager. Scott now oversees Parkes, Adelaide, Broken Hill, Mount Isa, and Thornton operations and is a key reason for continued growth in these regions.
Brian Bellchambers
Safety Manager
Brian Bellchambers commenced with MCA Engineering in April 2023 as our Safety Manager. He has become a valued member of the MCA Senior Management team, working in various locations across all states of Australia. Brian is an experience Safety Manager with 15 years’ experience in the Construction and Mining industries.
Rhys McCormack
Engineering Manager
Rhys McCormack is and experienced Engineering Manager with 15 years’ experience in the Construction and Mining industries. Rhys commenced with MCA Engineering in October 2022, and he has become a valued member of the MCA Senior Management team, leading the Engineering team, and working in various locations across all states of Australia.
Debbie Baillie
Human Resources Manager
Debbie Baillie is a Human Resources professional with over 18 years of experience gained in the mining, manufacturing & construction industries. Debbie joined MCA in 2022 and has experience implementing human resource management standards, policies, systems, and procedures that meet business goals and objectives. Debbie ensures that the Directors, General Manager, and executive management team have the best possible advice and analysis to facilitate effective and strategic decision making within MCA and to enable a diverse, engaged, and flexible workforce.
Liam Kelly
Tender Manager
Liam Kelly is a seasoned professional with over 35 years’ experience gained working in the services, mining, manufacturing, construction, materials handling, processing and the oil and gas industries within Australia and Overseas. Liam comes with a wealth of experience in business management, business development, pre-contracts, tender and post-tender management working for clients within those fields. Starting with MCA in 2024, Liam strives for excellence in delivering the best possible level of professional and value-added ethical services.
