Project Scope
MCA was engaged by Oz Minerals Carrapateena Mine (BHP) for a fiberglass pipeline to be installed for the pumping of mine water from underground to the surface. This contract had MCA supplying the Labour and equipment.
These works included the construction of:
- Design, engineering, and supply of light truck platform to install 9m fiberglass pipe lengths.
- Borehole perma glass pipeline installation.
- Supply and install wall mount and thrust supports, pipe saddles.
- Concrete collar for all borehole installations – reinforcing steel, formwork etc, grouting
- Grouting of borehole casing
- Installation of 3.2km of 9m length fiberglass pipe within close vicinity to a working conveyor
- Installation of fiberglass and HDPE pipe in 2 x pump stations
- Commission pipeline in multiple locations to work in with mine production
