Project Update: Underground Crusher & Ore Pass Installation – NSW

MCA Engineering is progressing well on the installation of a new underground crusher and ore pass system in regional New South Wales. The project includes full SMP works, underground services, major mechanical installations, and support for future commissioning.

Key activities underway include structural steel installation within the crusher chamber, chute and liner packages, dust extraction ducting, and preparation for the final positioning of the cone crusher. MCA has also deployed its engineered chain jacking system to install the ROM and COB bins efficiently within the confined underground environment.

Underground services such as compressed air, water supply, fire systems, and hydraulic lines are being installed to strict mine standards, while work continues on the 60-tonne overhead crane and electrical substation infrastructure.

Despite the challenges of working deep underground, the team is maintaining strong progress, quality workmanship, and a continued focus on safety. The project remains on track, supported by careful planning and effective coordination across all disciplines.
